The Procore Championship in Napa Valley is quickly becoming one of the most beloved golf tournaments on the PGA schedule. It shouldn’t come as a surprise: the tourney motto is where the golf life meets the good life and a pairing between sport and wine is obviously a match-up made in heaven. Aside from the lifestyle aspects, though, there are holes to be played next September and some contenders to write about. To stay informed about the main contenders and who, according to the bookmakers, has the best chance of winning the title, just see who’s favored to win the next PGA event. Who is going to shine at the Silverado?

In Napa, golf rhymes with Silverado Resort. The course is amazing, as is the Fan Village, and a lot of golfers play here all around the year, enjoying Californian weather and spirits. The par is fixed at 72 and the yardage is 7.123. Last year, the winner was Patton Kizzire. Before him, we saw amazing performances from Sahith Theegala and Max Homa, back to back champion in 2022 and 2023.

While we write this, we don’t know the pairings or the full list of participants, but we obviously expect these three golfers to take part in the tournament.

Patton Kizzire

The golfer from Alabama won by five shots over David Lipsky in 2024, and would like to repeat himself this year, to finish the year with some convincing results in order to prepare for next year’s PGA Tour.

Sahith Theegala

Theegala is ranked 58th in the PGA Tour, at the moment. Born in Orange, California, the 27 years old has a lot of following among the Indian immigrants. His family came from Telangana in the ‘80s and Sahith dominated at collegiate level, hailing from Pepperdine Uni. Theegala and his companions were ranked first in the nation when the pandemic hit. The talented golfer is also a fair play champion. He called a penalty on himself, in 2024, at East Lake Golf Club, Georgia, finishing third instead of second and winning 2.5 million dollars less. We are pretty sure he’ll win them all back in the near future.

Max Homa

The Scottsdale golfer played in the Ryder Cup and can already count 7 victories in his professional resume. At 34 (he’ll turn 35 in November), that is not bad at all. Homa dominated a couple of Procores and would like to repeat himself this year, on a course he seems to like very much.

Tournament guide

The Procore Championship provides action-packed activity for fans of all ages, even more than other PGA events, because of its location. The Tour developed measures to promote a safe environment and quality experience on the golf course, so there are dos and don’ts to respect, at all times. SIlverado has a North and a South Course. The first one, where the tournament is held, is quite difficult and offers thrilling obstacles. It is dedicated to experienced players or pros. The South one has been built for more casual players and provides a scenic and relaxed experience. If you love great golf, you don’t have a lot to think about: watching the world’s greatest golfers challenging each other between these trees and bunkers is an experience you are going to cherish forever.
